Certified nickel-free, cadmium-free and lead-free. It will not tarnish or leave a green mark. Showers, rain and sport are fine; chlorine and sea salt dull the shine over time, so take it off before swimming where you can. Charms with enamel, rhinestones or set crystals want more care again. ## Returns 30 days from delivery, unworn and undamaged, return postage paid by the customer. No direct exchanges — return for a refund and place a new order. ## Common questions ### How many charms do I need to start? Every bracelet is 18 links, which may be a little big for small wrists to start with, but it will grow with them. Take a few links out for a snug fit today and click them back in over time. Your bracelet grows link by link, so starting with a handful of charms and adding more as their story unfolds is just as common. ### Can I add charms to a bracelet I already own? Yes, that’s the whole idea. Head to Shop and choose “Add to My Story” to browse charms for an existing bracelet without paying for the base again. ### What if a charm I love isn’t in my metal? Wear it anyway. Some charms only come in gold, some only in stainless steel, and mixing the two looks lovely. Plenty of our customers do it on purpose. It’s your story, so put the charms you love on the bracelet and don’t worry about matching. ### What are bracelets made from? High-quality stainless steel with a rich gold plated finish. It’s certified nickel-free, cadmium-free and lead-free, so it’s kind to sensitive skin and won’t leave a green mark. ### Will my bracelet turn green or tarnish? No. The base metal is stainless steel, so it won’t react with skin oils or leave a green mark behind. Perfume and sunscreen are best put on before the bracelet goes on. ### Can they wear it in the shower or the pool? The steel base won’t rust, so showers, rain and sport are all fine. As with any plated jewellery, the finish will wear more gently if it’s kept away from long soaks. Swimming is fine too, however chlorine and sea salt will dull the shine over time so we suggest removing before swimming. If you forget to take it off, don’t stress, just rinse the bracelet under fresh water afterwards and dry it with a soft cloth. Charms with painted enamel, rhinestones or set crystals want a little more care.
